About the Role

As an Account Director at Leiden Research, you will be responsible for building and nurturing client relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the successful delivery of research and consulting services. You will lead a team of account managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to exceed client expectations, contribute to business development efforts, and enhance our position in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients.
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Business Development:

Identify growth opportunities within existing client accounts and develop account expansion strategies.
Collaborate with the business development team to pursue new client acquisitions.
Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of account managers, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
Set performance targets and ensure team members meet and exceed goals.
Project Oversight:

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of research projects to ensure client satisfaction.
Work closely with project managers and researchers to meet project objectives.
Strategic Planning:

Collaborate with clients to understand their strategic goals and align Leiden Research services to meet those objectives.
Develop account plans and strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Contract Negotiation:

Negotiate and finalize contracts, proposals, and agreements with clients.
Ensure contract terms are met and projects are executed according to client expectations.
Financial Management:

Monitor account budgets, expenses, and revenue forecasts to achieve financial targets.
Prepare and maintain account financial reports.
Quality Assurance:

Ensure the highest standards of research quality and deliverables.
Conduct regular reviews and quality checks on project outputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in account management, preferably in marketing research or consulting.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

  • Track record of driving revenue growth and achieving targets.

  • Client-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
